I’m going to give you a content framework to help you create your own narrative. It’s not about sharing everything, it’s about sharing the right things so you’re building rapport that’s leading to new project inquiries.

For a long time, I referred to this framework as your Top15. I feel that it’s the right mix of personal to business. Injecting a personal thread into your marketing strategy has always been important, but it’s even more important today as we represent our brands in the digital landscape.

Top5 Customer → This is a focus on solutions you provide for your ideal client so they get their desired result.

Really narrowing down on your offer and how it benefits your ideal client is key. Be mindful of the tangibles, but really dive into the intangibles when exploring your offerings. It's unusually the intangibles that seals the deal.   

Top5 Distinction → This is all about what differentiates you. The surface level of this is seen through style and service, but recently I’ve added another layer. I’m provoking you to go a little deeper and explore your impact on your clients’ lives.

Often it's your differences that make a difference in your prospective client choosing you. Sit in this space, and really get honest in your manifesto. What do you believe? What are your values? What do you wish for your clients?

Top5 Lifestyle → Here’s where you get personal and give people a glimpse into your life. This type of sharing is what builds relationships.

Sharing a little about yourself and your lifestyle is especially important for interior designers because your service is personal for the client. In your discovery meetings you're asking clients to open up about themselves, and you opening up first invites them to do so a little easier.
